KUPL Scopes
I have landed a part-time gig on Alpha Broadcastings 98.7fm KUPL in Portland, Oregon. I’m no stranger to KUPL as it was the first radio station I ever cracked a mic! I was hired on Monday and asked to do the afternoon show Tuesday through Friday! I will also be doing some weekend shifts. I will try to post as many as possible and keep this page fresh with new audio.

Morning Show Audio 6/26-30/2010 This week, the morning show lead host was on vacation and I was chosen to lead the show. Here is every break from the week. I felt confident about my abilities to lead a morning show with several components throughout the morning. Keep in mind I am only on the air 1, maybe 2 days a week Every edit from all the calls and interviews along with the board work are me.

Wednseday – June 9, 2010 **Middays for Lola** Seems our friend has a fetish for Charleston Chew. First it get’s stuck in her hair, causing her to get a hair cut. The haircut turned into a full blown new hairstyle…looks good! Fast forward to last night…while taking a bite her front tooth came out! Ha…that’s something the comedy writers can’t pull off. It’s the life of Lola our newest team member at KUPL. I gladly hosted the midday show while she went to the dentist!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010 I hosted 3 shows this weekend. Saturday 2-7, Sunday 11-4 and Monday 6-10a. Although we were giving people a chance to win a trip to Washington DC to see Zac Brown Band live, I really felt the meaning of the weekend. Now you can hear what Mike Turner and I are like together on every break. We were on the air from 5:30-10 every morning with news and traffic ending at 8:30. Apparently grabbing audio wasn’t a priority then as I only have some of the year in which we did this show. Here are a few of them. I’ve tried to keep these under 20 minutes each.
